A pre–race sample was taken from It's Academic.
Aston Director was quick to begin. Mt. View Buck was slow to begin.
It's Academic underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Debra Winter regarding It's Academic’s racing manners turning into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 It's Acadmeic was charged with marring. Ms. Winter pled guilty to the charge, It's Academic was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
