Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Twister Giblet on Wednesday, 21 December 2022 pursuant to GAR 139. Twister Giblet was a reserve and did not gain a start.
Gabby's Gyros, Ranger Ricksen and Margo were slow to begin.
Frothy's Ponting raced wide approaching the home turn and collided with Moraine Mario and failed to pursue the lure with due committment, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the left hindleg medial toes. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jack Campbell, the trainer of Frothy's Ponting regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Frothy's Ponting was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Campbell pleaded guilty to the charge, Frothy's Ponting was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
