Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was degrees 28.4 and the kennel temperature was 16.4 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
A sample was taken from Settlement Day upon arrival at the course.
Master Spencer stumbled soon after the start, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
