Good Chat Sam was quick to begin.
Bonnie Gem underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to an incident in the catching pen. No apparent injury was reported.
Mt. View Jett underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported, trainer Mr. Trevor Whitford declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr. Whitford regarding Mt. View Jett’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Mt. View Jett was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Whitford pled not guilty to the charge, Mt. View Jett was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to participant, Mr. Trevor Whitford regarding their conduct in the wash bay and in the Stewards Room toward officials. Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry to be finalised at a later date.

Stewards finalised an inquiry into the conduct of Mr. Kevin Fogarty. A charge under GAR 165(a) was issued to Mr. Fogarty for engaging in conduct that is detrimental to the image of greyhound racing. Mr. Fogarty pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250.00.

Stewards finalised an inquiry into the conduct of Mr. Trevor Whitford. A charge under GAR 165(a) was issued to Mr. Whitford for engaging in conduct that is detrimental to the image and control of greyhound racing. Mr. Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $500.00, with $250.00 wholly suspended for a period of 24 months pending no similar offences or further breaches of the relevant rule.
