Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Left To Tell.
Classy Bella was quick to begin. Dig Dag was slow to begin.
Mist Fred turned it's head outwards rounding the turn off the back straight and was vetted following the event, after being re-vetted following Race 6, was found to have no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. B. Keel, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Mist Fred was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. B. Keel pled guilty to the charge. Mist Fred was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Dig Dag – the winner of the event.
