Nicolson was slow to begin.
Ms T.Nieuwendyk was reminded of her responsibilities for failing to follow the starter's orders when boxing Devil Dodger, pursuant to GAR 105.
Zigzag Cabang underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to trainer G. Berry regarding ZigZag Cabang's racing manners over the concluding stages of the event. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Zigzag Cabang was charged with marring. Mr Berry pled guilty to the charge. Zigzag Cabang was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
