Steward's Report
Lektra Nick, Jupiter Town and Queen Harriet were quick to begin. Exclusively Mine was slow to begin.
Exclusivley Mine, faltered in the back straight underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left bicep and groin. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Zhenye Bale (visibly eased and turned its head inwards in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have shin soreness and a groin injury to the right hind leg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Jason Wickham regarding Zhenye Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125 Zhenye Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Wickham pled guilty to the charge, Zhenye Bale must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
