Lektra Vera fell on the home turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Lyrical Cripps turned its head outwards entering the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination.Lyrical Cripps was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Dean Elliot regarding Lyrical Cripps's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Lyrical Cripps was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Elliot pleaded guilty to the charge, Lyrical Cripps was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
