This event commenced at 9.09pm from the advertised time of 9.10pm due to a change to the Sky Channel racing program.
Lektra Gal was quick to begin. Nova Girl was slow to begin.
Spring Martini (visibly eased on the home turn and again in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and found to be injured in the right hamstring, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. S Coulson regarding the racing manners of Spring Martini approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Spring Martini was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. S. Coulson pled guilty to the charge,Spring Martini was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
