Steward's Report
A race day sample was taken from Scotch And Coke at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.
Cinderella Story was slow to begin.
Scotch And Coke turned his head outwards and visibly eased in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 6. Scotch And Coke was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Phillip Pollutro regarding Scotch And Coke's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Scotch And Coke was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Pollutro pled guilty to the charge, Scotch And Coke was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
There was no head on vision available in the back straight for this event.
