At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 34 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.9 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

My Blaze performed below market expectations, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Tony Cortese regarding My Blaze's performance in the event. Mr. Cortese confirmed to Stewards that he had supported My Blaze in the event and that the greyhound had performed below his expectations. Mr. Cortese suggested the greyhound had recently come off season and her performances since had been disappointing. Mr. Cortese declared the greyhound would now be spelling for a period prior to nominating for future events.

Scotch And Coke turned his head outwards and visibly eased in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 6. Scotch And Coke was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. Phillip Pollutro regarding Scotch And Coke's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Scotch And Coke  was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Pollutro pled guilty to the charge, Scotch And Coke was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
