A pre-race sample was taken from Akina Crusader.
Vitality Blast and Akina Crusader were quick to begin. Sapphire Speed was slow to begin.
Vitality Blast fell after the finish, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion and spike wound to the left hindleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Akina Crusader was severely checked after the finish, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Dr. Deities underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
