Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was unable to be taken from Taz's Classified. A post race sample was subsequently taken.
The start of this event was delayed five minutes due to operational matters.
Taz's Classified was a late scratching by order of Stewards at 3:59pm in the best interest of greyhound racing.(GAR 19.4). After taking evidence from trainer, Mrs Patricia Smith the inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
That's Rare was quick to begin. Crackerjack Hawk and See Saw Lass were slow to begin.
Supplementary Report.
GRV Stewards on 21 February 2023 finalised an inquiry with licensed trainer Patricia Smith after a barking muzzle was used on the greyhound Taz's Classified at Horsham on February 7 2023.
It was established a barking muzzle was placed on Taz's Command, engaged in race two prior to the greyhound being kennelled.
Mrs Smith was charged under GAR 30(2). Mrs Smith pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250.00.
