Golden Scotch and Where's My Cash were slow to begin.
Hotspot Hero raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock sprain and injuries to both back muscles. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Golden Scotch underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to both back muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Marcus Lloyd regarding Golden Scotch’s racing manners approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Lloyd, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, stewards took no further action.
