The start of this event was rescheduled to 9.38pm.
Cawbourne Group – New declared weight of 32.6kg last raced at 33.7kg.
Irinka Archie was slow to begin.
Majestic Jewel turned its head inwards in the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right hind satorius muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Byrne regarding Majestic Jewel’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Majestc Jewel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Byrne pleaded guilty to the charge, Majestic Jewel was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Rostron lost ground approaching the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was revetted following race 11.It was found to have an injury to the left long head triceps muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
