Steward's Report

Rebel's Spark was quick to begin. Son Of Cecil was slow to begin.

Son Of Cecil underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a minor abrasion to the left hind leg. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Jai Willoughby regarding the racing manners of Son Of Cecil rounding the turn into the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Willoughby, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

Morning Lily underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic (neck) injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Harrison Goss regarding the racing manners of Morning Lily approaching the finish post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Goss, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Inga Sally underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left hind leg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post–race sample was taken from Nineteen Crimes – the winner of the event.
