R. La Marca was issued a warning under GAR 156(f) (negligence) for failing to catch Smoldering Decay at the conclusion of the race.
Mepunga Raider marred Lucky Molly in the back straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. P. Riley regarding Mepunga Raider's racing manners entering the turn off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Mepunga Raider was charged with marring. Mr. Riley pled not guilty to the charge, Mepunga Raider was found guilty and suspended for 28 days all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
