Deadly Ambition underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.
Moonlight Bear proved difficult to box. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Kurt Howard and advised that should the greyhound's box manners not improve, it may be made to box first at future starts.
Brian Basilisa and Miss Daisy Lee were quick to begin. Deadly Ambition was slow to begin.
