Steward's Report
Johnny One Thong – Late scratching at 7.50am acting on a confirmed telephone call with Mr Calven Russell who advised that the kennel had a vehicle breakdown. Stewards advised Mr Russell that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. A 28 day stand period is imposed unti the matter is re–evaluated upon receipt of that evidence.
Bad Medicine was quick to begin. Plumb was slow to begin.
Shania's Dream underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to frequency of racing and was found to have right quadriceps and right tensor fascia latae injuries. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Supplementary Report - 20 September 2022 - Evidence to support the breakdown, to the satisfaction of the Stewards, was produced which resulted in the 28 day stand-down being lifted for Johnny One Thong.
