Steward's Report
Whisky Nip was quick to begin. Solar Toby was slow to begin.
Claretown Ann was checked, became unbalanced and then raced ungenerously turning off the back straight. Underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left-fore wrist sprain injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Peter Griffen regarding the racing manners of Claretown Ann turning off the back straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Griffen, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
A post–race sample was taken from Douglas Dash – the winner of the event.
