Steward's Report
Chasing Minty – Late scratching at 14:35 by Order of Stewards in the best interests of greyhound racing, in accordance with GAR 19(4)(b). No stand-down period was applied. Underwent a kennelling veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Kennel Representative Miss. Emaly Frost presented Chasing Minty to the Stewards at Warrnambool today after the weight recorded at this greyhound’s first start at Healesville on 07 June 2022 appeared to be erroneously recorded. As this was Chasing Minty's first start, that matter could only be resolved satisfactorily by checking the greyhound’s actual weight, as no history of recorded weights was available. After being identified and weighed on–site, it was clearly established that the weight recorded at the greyhound’s first start could not possibly have been correct and it would be entirely unreasonable to not rectify the matter. Under the provisions of GAR 100(1) the Stewards deemed it necessary to make such order that 25.6kg will be officially recorded as the correct weight at Chasing Minty's first start.
