A pre–race sample was taken from Kenzie Bale.
Hazelnut was slow to begin.
Dr. Chelsea was severely checked and fell on the home turn, and was pronounced deceased by the On–Track Veterinarian. The greyhound was found to have sustained a neck fracture.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the home turn and deemed it suitable for racing.
