Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Smooth Talker.
Warringah Bale and Long Black Lass were quick to begin. Galloping Speed and Smooth Talker were slow to begin.
Warringah Bale lost ground turning into the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the tail and a tarsal sprain on the right hindleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Bradley Keel regarding Warringah Bale's performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Keel to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Warringah in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
