Steward's Report
Extravagant was quick to begin. It's A Punisher and Just A Brew were slow to begin.
It's A Punisher visably eased and turned it's head outwards on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Mr Jason Thomson declined the option to have the greyhound re–vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Thomson regarding It's A Punisher’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 It's A Punisher was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Thomson pled guilty to the charge, It's A Punisher was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Extravagant – the winner of the event.
