Steward's Report
Smiling Sapphire and Flying Ability were quick to begin. Winnie's Wish and Maximum Jane were slow to begin
Maximum Jane, which tailed off underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pencil injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Darren Petersen regarding Maximum Jane’s performance.. After hearing submissions from Mr Petersen and after viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Maximum Jane unsatisfactory. Maximum Jane must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
