A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Clint Colaiacovo regarding the racing manners of Bob Pervails soon after the start. After hearing submissions from Mr Colaiacovo, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Obsidian To Burn faltered at the 200m mark and lost ground, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following event 6. Obsidian To Burn was found to have a left wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 6 minutes after the greyhound Dallas Jane became momentarily loose behind the starting boxes, prior to boxing. Dallas Jane was vetted prior to the running of the event and was passed fit to race. Stewards spoke to Mr David Schwarz, the trainer/handler of Dallas Jane regarding the incident. After hearing evidence from Mr Schwarz and the Steward at the starting boxes and taking into consideration the circumstances surrounding the incident; Mr Schwarz was reminded of his responsibilities in relation to having proper control of a greyhound at all times, pursuant to GAR 81(1).

Bright Black was slow to begin.

A pre-race sample was taken from War Knee.

This event was delayed by approximately 1.5 minutes due to the delay from the previous event. 

Interfere was slow to begin.

Chappy's Cosmog marred No Holds Barred soon after the start, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind split webbing and bruising to the right stopper. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Bradley Chapman regarding Chappy's Cosmog’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Chappy's Cosmog was charged with marring. Mr Chapman pled guilty to the charge, Chappy Cosmog was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Don't Tell Greg was slow to begin.

Blackpool Astro, Rear View Mirror and West On Aries were slow to begin.

Lilly Rush was quick to begin. Leggero was slow to begin. 

Soda Brock contacted the running rail approaching the 150m mark, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Dundee Keira marred Whizbang Jack approaching the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left front paw pad injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Geoffrey Scott-Smith regarding Dundee Keira’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Dundee Keira was charged with marring. Mr Scott-Smith reserved his right to enter a plea to the charge, Dundee Keira was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Done Over was slow to begin. 

Done Over underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a right hip injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dewana Cruiser, Korreo and Dominant Force were slow to begin.

Mick Says So and Blue Ability were slow to begin.

Dynamite Swan was slow to begin.

Dynamite Swan faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Ethan's Thunder – New declared weight of 32.1kg, last raced at 30.9kg.
