Steward's Report
Due to a technical malfunction this event was hand started.
Filorga Bale was quick to begin. Maddingley Magic was slow to begin.
Maddingley Magic faltered approaching the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Aston Lila turned its head to the inside approaching the home turn and visibly eased, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Jennifer Torr declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Jennifer Torr regarding Aston Lila’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Aston Lila was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. Torr pled guilty to the charge, Aston Lila was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
