A pre–race sample was taken from My Girl Whizbang.
Bye Georgie was severely checked soon after the start and lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg shoulder injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Matthew Clark regarding the greyhound overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Clark to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Bye George in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
