Steward's Report
High Tribe Rico was quick to begin. Rowdy Bourbski and Hector Intention were slow to begin.
Nelly Intention failed to run past the return gate and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms D. O'Neill regarding the behaviour of Nelly Intention in pulling up before the return gate and not entering the catching pen. The Stewards hold concerns that this poses an unnecessary safety issue for Nelly Intention, other greyhounds in the race, and staff that triage these types of incidents. After considering submissions from Ms O'Neill, a warning was issued that further such instances of this nature may result in Nelly Intention being placed on a conditional satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 129.
A post-race sample was taken from High Tribe Rico - the winner of the event.
