Hot Scotch was quick to begin. Propane was slow to begin.
Propane was slow to begin and faltered soon after the start, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an open abrasion to the mid-tail. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Hot Scotch – the winner of the event.
