Steward's Report
Select Magic and Run Topper were quick to begin.
Sumerian was slow to begin.
Hurricane Daisy underwent a post–race veterinary examination after crossing out on the home turn – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mrs. Victoria Sultana regarding the racing manners of Hurricane Daisy on the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mrs. Sultana, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
Run Topper underwent a post-race veterinary examination after it returned to the kennel block with a left-hind split webbing injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Avianna – winner of the event.
