Steward's Report
I’m Indigo and Kick It Home were quick to begin. Street Of Dreams was slow to begin. Rattling Rosie, Go Gigi Go and Mini Dimmy collided on the first turn checking Ambrose Bale, severely checking Mini Dimmy and Street Of Dreams. I’m Indigo checked off Kick It Home on the first turn checking Go Gigi Go. Rattling Rosie marred Kick It Home entering the home straight severely checking both greyhounds. Rattling Rosie turned its head outwards approaching the winning post. Kick It Home pulled up prior to entering the catching pen.
Rattling Rosie underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to owner Mr. David Pryse regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Rattling Rosie was charged with marring. Mr. Pryse pleaded guilty to the charge, Rattling Rosie was suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Kick It Home underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left groin. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms. Rickii-Lee Church and issued an official warning regarding the greyhound failing to enter the catching pen. Stewards further advised that should Kick It Home fail to run past the return gate in future events, that Stewards will consider placing the greyhound on a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR71.
