Arch See All and Jessie's Brew were quick to begin.
Orejitas crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Cambria Bale. Whiz Out checked off Story Unfolds on the first turn checking Whiz Out and Mega Heist. Jessie's Brew clipped the heels of Replicant on the first turn checking Jessie's Brew and causing Replicant to fall. Whiz Out faltered in the home straight. Jessie's Brew and Whiz Out raced wide in the home straight. Jessie's Brew turned its head outwards in the home straight
Replicant underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle and left groin muscle injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Jessie's Brew underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Raymond Brewer regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Jessie's Brew was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Brewer pleaded guilty to the charge, Jessie's Brew must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
