Billie's Gift, Mt. View Lady and Mt. View Buck collided soon after the start. Zoe Girl, Inga Sadie, Okay Flash, Vans Turbo and Inga Lenny collided approaching the first turn checking Vans Turbo and Inga Lenny. Inga Sadie and Inga Lenny collided approaching the first turn checking Inga Sadie. Inga Lenny and Mt. View Lady collided on the first turn. Vans Turbo checked off Mt. View Lady approaching the home turn. Billie's Gift and Okay Flash collided approaching the home turn checking Billie's Gift which then visibly eased. Inga Sadie and Vans Turbo collided approaching the home turn. Mt. View Lady failed to pursue the lure with due commitment and turned its head inwards and collided with Zoe Girl and Inga Sadie in the home straight. Inga Sadie marred Zoe Girl approaching the winning post.
Inga Sadie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind foot abrasion. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Mary Inguanti, the trainer of Inga Sadie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Inga Sadie was charged with marring. Ms Inguanti pleaded not guilty to the charge, Inga Sadie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr John Campbell, the representative of Billie's Gift regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Billie's Gift was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Campbell pleaded guilty to the charge, Billie's Gift was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mt. View Lady underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right and left hamstring injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford, the trainer of Mt. View Lady regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mt. View Lady was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Whitford pleaded not guilty to the charge, Mt. View Lady was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
