Dr. Samson crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Finny and Penance Allen. Lewis Fields and Sammy The Foss collided approaching the first turn checking Sammy The Foss. Dr. Samson raced wide on the first turn. Sammy The Foss checked off Finny on the third turn. Lewis Fields and Ambergris Lady collided approaching the home turn severely checking Ambergris Lady and checking Dr. Samson. Ambergris lLdy and Dr. Samson collided on the home turn.
Looming Large was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Burns trainer of Looming large and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn.
