Steward's Report
Easy Baby and Hard Urned Burst were slow to begin. Crusade Marjen and Dozer Boy collided soon after the start. Detcord and Hard Urned Burst collided at the 250m mark, checking Detcord. Dozer Boy checked off Crusade Marjen at the 175m mark, checking Dozer Boy. Easy Baby lost considerable ground over the concluding stages of the event.
Easy Baby was vetted following the event after pulling up distressed in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound had an extremely elevated temperature and an injured left hamstring, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P Galea, the trainer of Easy Baby. Mr Galea advised the stewards that he would seek veterinary attention for the greyhound.
