Steward's Report
She's Serious and Meatball Soup were quick to begin. Saint Phoenix was slow to begin.
Fairytale Nacho visibly eased approaching the first turn. High Action galloped on Fairytale Nacho approaching the first turn checking Fairytale Nacho, High Action and Pacific Express. Rocky Strike checked off Meatball Soup on the home turn. Fairytale Nacho and Rip Off Roslyn raced wide in the home straight.
Fairytale Nacho underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle and back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mrs. Julie Faulknall regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Fairytale Nacho was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Faulknall pleaded guilty to the charge, Fairytale Nacho must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
