All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Jedi Jack and Moraine Lucy were quick to begin.

Rothwell Chunk and Strictly collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Devilish John galloped on White Nikita on the first turn. Jimmy Monkey faltered and lost ground on the first turn. Rothwell Chunk raced wide on the home turn. Strictly and Devilish John collided on the home turn. 

Jimmy Monkey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Gene's Entity - Late scratching at 5.42pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr J. Cassar was fined $100.

Tinker Blaine and Sweet Moments were quick to begin. Jacquinot Jet was slow to begin.

Mo City and Nana Pat collided soon after the start. Tinker Blaine checked off Sweet Moments and collided with Singin' Elle approaching the first turn, checking Tinker Blaine and Singin' Elle. Tinker Pat and Mo City collided entering the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Sweet Moments - the winner of the event.

Miss Manager was quick to begin. 

Little Beamer, Texicali Velvet and Leggero collided soon after the start checking Texicali Velvet. Little Beamer galloped on Lonesome Star on the first turn checking Lonesome Star. Jake Scar and Lusty Lovin' collided on the home turn. Texicali Velvet raced wide on the home turn. Leggero and Lusty Lovin' collided approaching the winning post.

Trainer Mr. S. Brincat was issued a warning for making unnecessary contact with the starting boxes after placing his greyhound therein, pursuant to GAR 51(10)(c).

Pure Mania was quick to begin.

Whiz Out, Soho Expresso and Mahogany Flame collided approaching the first turn checking Mahogany Flame. Whiz Out and Soho Expresso collided on the first turn. Pure Mania checked off Myola Pocket entering the home straight. Soho Expresso and Myola Pocket collided entering the home straight. Pure Mania and Myola Pocket collided approaching the winning post.

Consumption crossed to the rails soon after the start. Affair Fantasy and Barooga Gal collided soon after the start. Blue Tequila checked off Story Unfolds and lost ground as a result on the first turn. Affair Fantasy and Consumption collided in the home straight.

Aston Remi was quick to begin. Loch was slow to begin. 

Orson Franky and Bakali George collided soon after the start. Loch, Frothy's Friday and Roxy Rum Pumper collided approaching the first turn. Bakali George checked off Aston Remi and collided with Orson Franky on the first turn, severely checking Orson Franky in turn checking Bakali George and Too Be Sure. Loch raced wide on the home turn.  

Orson Franky underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist and right hamstring injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

An out of competition sample was taken from Compton Amy on 07/03/2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.

I'm A Lawyer and Disco Riot collided soon after the start. Shim's Heart and Disco Riot collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. I'm A Lawyer checked off Cornhill Tiger on the second turn. I'm A Lawyer galloped on Cornhill Tiger entering the home straight. 

She's Serious and Meatball Soup were quick to begin. Saint Phoenix was slow to begin.

Fairytale Nacho visibly eased approaching the first turn. High Action galloped on Fairytale Nacho approaching the first turn checking Fairytale Nacho, High Action and Pacific Express. Rocky Strike checked off Meatball Soup on the home turn. Fairytale Nacho and Rip Off Roslyn raced wide in the home straight.

Fairytale Nacho underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle and back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to handler, Mrs. Julie Faulknall regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Fairytale Nacho was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs. Faulknall pleaded guilty to the charge, Fairytale Nacho must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from She's Serious - the winner of the event.

Johnny Fatboy - New declared weight of 33.7kgs, last raced at 32.6kgs.

Max Rouge and Little Leo were quick to begin.

Hold Fast Bella, Aston Gamble and Little Leo collided in the back straight. Max Rouge, Little Leo, Aston Gamble and Hold Fast Bella collided approaching the first turn checking Max Rouge, Johnny Fatboy and severely checking Little Leo, Aston Gamble and Hold Fast Bella. Aston Gamble and Little Leo collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.

Diva Dot and Aston Dynasty were quick to begin.

Bad Bailey and Harley Ryder collided soon after the start. Bad Bailey checked off Crazy Old Fool on the first turn. Barbados Dream and Crazy Old Fool collided on the home turn. Diva Dot and Harley Ryder collided entering the home straight. Diva Dot and Harley Ryder collided in the home straight checking Diva Dot.

Our Ryker - New declared weight of 33.9kgs, last raced at 35.3kgs.

Rubina Bale was slow to begin.

Enid's Angel visibly eased approaching the first turn. Scenic Warrior, Raw Attitude and Crackerjack Noah collided on the first turn. Zipping Pistol and Take A Rose collided on the first turn. Raw Attitude and Scenic Warrior collided approaching the home turn. Take A Rose, Scenic Warrior and Crackerjack Noah collided on the home turn. Enid's Angel, Take A Rose and Scenic Warrior collided entering the home straight. Raw Attitude raced wide in the home straight.

Enid's Angel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. A. King regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Enid's Angel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. King pleaded not guilty to the charge, Enid's Angel was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr King advised that he may retire the greyhound.

Scenic Warrior underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Gatt advised that he may retire the greyhound.
