Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Sagarmatha.
Zulu Cha Cha was slow to begin.
Demon Sal, Booker, Come On Levendi and Sagarmatha collided soon after the start checking Come On Levendi and Sagarmatha. Demon Sal, Booker, Come On Levendi, Sagarmatha and Zulu Cha Cha collided on the first turn checking Demon Sal and Come On Levendi, causing Sagarmatha and Zulu Cha Cha to fall. Blazing Bandit and Booker collided on the home turn. Demon Sal and Come On Levendi collided several times from entering the home straight to approaching the winning post severely checking both greyhounds. Blazing Bandit checked off Booker entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Kipriditis regarding the racing manners of Come On levendi entering home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr S. Kipriditis, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
Come On Levendi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain, left groin, right traiangle injuries and an abrasion to the left hind leg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Sagarmatha underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Zulu Cha Cha underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing to the left hind foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
