A pre-race sample was taken from Egyptian Tiger.
Scorching Sun was quick to begin. Dynamic Prince was slow to begin.
Bearish and Dynamic Prince collided several times approaching the first turn; severely checking Bearish. Dynamic Prince and Aston Harlow collided on the first turn; causing Dynamic Prince to contact the running rail; severely checking Dynamic Prince. Gotham Duke checked off Hot Diesel on the home turn.
Dynamic Prince underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Hot Diesel underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg deltoid muscle injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Supplementary Report 15 December 2021: An inquiry and subsequent penalty that was issued to Hot Diesel was revoked through the VRT.
