Steward's Report
Branson Bale and Lonely Jenny were quick to begin. Jackie Boy and Wish You Well began awkwardly.
Branson Bale, Lonely Jenny, Gyarados and Orson Franky collided on the first turn checking Branson Bale, Gyarados, Orson Franky and Acacia Dream and severely checking Lonely Jenny which fell as a result. Branson Bale marred Orson Franky on the home turn and in the home straight.
Branson Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Owner Mr Clint Capuano regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Branson Bale was charged with marring. Mr Capuano pleaded guilty to the charge, Branson Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Lonely Jenny underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbling on the right hind. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
