Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings and observed social distance requirements that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Thunder Dash was quick to begin. Panama City was slow to begin.

Three Johns and Hold Fast Bella collided approaching the first turn checking Three Johns. Panama City checked off Three Johns on the first turn. Panama City contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. 

Panama City underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a tail laceration. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Another Brother underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Branson Bale and Lonely Jenny were quick to begin. Jackie Boy and Wish You Well began awkwardly.

Branson Bale, Lonely Jenny, Gyarados and Orson Franky collided on the first turn checking Branson Bale, Gyarados, Orson Franky and Acacia Dream and severely checking Lonely Jenny which fell as a result. Branson Bale marred Orson Franky on the home turn and in the home straight.

Branson Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Owner Mr Clint Capuano regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Branson Bale was charged with marring. Mr Capuano pleaded guilty to the charge, Branson Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lonely Jenny underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbling on the right hind. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Rocket Power.

Rocket Power was quick to begin. Paisanos was slow to begin.

Meet Winston, Miss Molly Lee and Wichita Bale collided soon after the start checking Miss Molly Lee and Wichita Bale. Little Leo, Paisanos, Exford Norm and Meet Winston collided on the first turn checking Meet Winston. Wichita Bale and Miss Molly Lee collided entering the home straight.

Ms Alexis Kenyon was issued a warning for failing to catch Paisanos following this event. 

Red Hot Lady began awkwardly. Humanity and Destructive Riot were slow to begin.

Red Hot Lady and Alfie Solomon collided soon after the start. Humanity checked off Trust I Seek approaching the first turn. Red Hot Lady and Humanity collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Trust I Seek checked off Mississippi Mud on the home turn.

Jayla Strike and Seabrook Stack were quick to begin.

Zipping Slade, Eric Garfield and Jaggered collided soon after the start checking Eric Garfield. Romeo Bale and Zipping Slade collided approaching the first turn checking Romeo Bale. Take A Sunflower, Jaggered and Jayla Strike collided approaching the first turn. Take A Sunflower, Jayla Strike and Eric Garfield collided on the first turn. Jaggered and Seabrook Stack collided approaching the home turn. Zipping Slade and Jayla Strike collided approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Jaggered - the winner of the event.

Why Not Gigi and Flash Opal were quick to begin. 

Lamotta and It's A Louie collided soon after the start. Impatient Arty and Barbados Dream collided approaching the first turn checking Why Not Gigi. Squawking Budgie checked off Barbados Dream on the first turn causing Squawking Budgie and Lamotta to collide. Why Not Gigi and High Priority collided approaching the home turn. Barbados Dream and It's A Louie collided approaching the home turn. Squawking Budgie and Lamotta collided in the home straight. Impatient Arty and Why Not Gigi raced wide in the home straight.

Gold Luminesce crossed outwide and collided with Pai Gow Poker soon after the start. Crown Sebon and De. Perry collided soon after the start. For The Thrill and Lil Snooze collided approaching the first turn. Lil Snooze and Dr. Perry collided on the first turn checking Dr. Perry. Three Bears checked off Pai Gow Poker approaching the home turn. For The Thrill and Three Bears collided on the home turn. Lil Snooze checked off   Three Bears on the home turn. Gold Luminesce crossed outwide in the home straight.

Sizzlin' Sanchez, Myola Knight and Riverdale Mitch were slow to begin.

Just Gab and Rock Opera collided approaching the first turn. Take A Daisy and Tinker Cindy collided approaching the first turn. Take A Daisy checked off Nyssa's Girl on the first turn causing Sizzlin' Sanchez to check off Take A Daisy: causing Take A Daisy to become unbalanced and lose ground. Rock Opera and Tinker Cindy collided approaching the home turn. 

Take A Daisy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg quadriceps muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr S Jack regarding the racing manners of Take A Daisy approaching the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr S Jack, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Xanthi Bale – Cramping- Field of 4, Distance 400m, Weight 26.4 kg, Box 7, Placed 4th, Time Run 23.153 - Comment: Cleared All Tracks.
