Steward's Report
McIvor Ernie and Crown Jimmy collided soon after the start. Coco To Burn and Wisdom collided on the first turn checking Wisdom. Roxy Rum Pumper and Crown Jimmy collided approaching the home turn. McIvor Ernie eased approaching the home turn and lost ground. McIvor Ernie raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.
McIvor Ernie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left stopper and a left thigh injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Ms. Julie Priest, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), McIvor Ernie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Priest pleaded guilty to the charge, McIvor Ernie was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from McIvor Stretch - winner of the event.
Supplemaentray Report: On Friday 10 December 2021, Mr Barry Priest reported that McIvor Ernie had a swollen pin muscle and soreness of the back muscle when inspected at home, after leaving the course.
