Diesel Herrera was slow to begin. Pete Cabang, Wishly Bale and Jedda Milne collided approaching the first turn checking Wishly Bale. Pete Cabang and Jedda Milne collided on the first turn. Diesel Herrera galloped on the heels of Pete Cabang approaching the home turn. Wishly Bale and Diesel Herrera collided entering the home straight.
Jedda Milne underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
