Steward's Report
Mr. Blurton and Magnis Bale collided soon after the start. Jaggered and Cute Indeed collided soon after the start and again on the first turn; checking Cute Indeed and Our Frankie. Cute Indeed and Our Frankie collided approaching the home turn. Market Legend turned its head out and collided with Magnis Bale entering the home straight; checking Magnis Bale. Market Legend and Magnis Bale collided several times in the home straight.
Market Legend underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg dew claw injury; a three day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Darren Burkett regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Market Legend was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Burkett pleaded guilty to the charge, Market Legend was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
