Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Moraine Holly, Hometown Hero and Story Unfolds were quick to begin.

Pure Ruby and Little Leo collided soon after the start. Blue Sadie and Trending Striker collided approaching the first turn, checking Blue Sadie. Moraine Holly and Story Unfolds collided on the first turn, checking Moraine Holly. Trending Striker and Pure Ruby collided approaching the home turn.

Balt's Flying was quick to begin

Great Question, Zipping Wreck, Mad Blast and Pyrenees Pegasus collided soon after the start. Great Question and Zipping Wreck collided approaching the first turn, checking Zipping Wreck. Amron Man, Mad Blast and Pyrenees Pegasus collided approaching the first turn, checking Great Question. Amron Man and Mad Blast collided approaching the home turn. Great Question and Zipping Wreck collided approaching the home turn. In A Blue checked off Kandinsky on the home turn. Great Question marred Kandinsky in the home straight. Mad Blast's muzzle became dislodged during the running of the event.

Great Question underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs M Gilders, the trainer of Great Question regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Great Question was charged with marring.  Mrs M Gilders pleaded not guilty to the charge, Great Question was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Wow Star was quick to begin.

Leaping Lydia and Johnny Fatboy collided soon after the start, checking Leaping Lydia, which fell as a result. Man In Blue and Conroy collided soon after the start, checking Man In Blue. Man In Blue and Kanji Length collided approaching the first turn. Wow Star and Conroy collided on the first turn. Leaping Lydia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising of the shoulder.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Pride Into Power crossed to the running rail soon after the start, checking Senor Senor, Siren Head and . Plausible Dream, Siren Head and Jimmy Cheesecake collided approaching the first turn, checking Siren Head. Senor Senor checked off Pride Into Power on the first turn, causing Senor Senor, Plausible Dream and  Jimmy Cheesecake to collide and checking Siren Head. Pride Into Power checked off Fusion Spy in the home straight, causing Jimmy Cheesecake and Pride Into Power to collide. Fusion Spy tired in the concluding stages. 

Fusion Spy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Lala Grapefruit and Innocent Diva were quick to begin. Padrino Rocks was slow to begin. 

Innocent Diva and On The Air collided approaching the first turn. Moon Over Mexico and Man Of Substance collided approaching the first turn. Kanga Lights and Innocent Diva collided approaching the first turn. Padrino Rocks and Moon Over Mexico collided approaching the first turn. Joffa's Monaro checked off Mepunga Sparkle soon after the start, causing Joffa's Monaro and Roxy Quaker to collide. Roxy Quaker and Disco Riot collided on the first turn. Alabama Anna and Blazing Nenna were quick to begin. Say Hi was slow to begin. 

Robin's Choice, Winlock Mungo and Spring Hondo collided soon after the start. Chilly Bin, Alabama Anna and Blazing Nenna collided approaching the first turn, checking Alabama Anna and causing Alabama Anna and Say Hi to collide. Robin's Choice and Winlock Mungo collided approaching the first turn. Chilly Bin and Blazing Nenna collided on the first turn, checking Blazing Nenna and causing Blazing Nenna, Robin's Choice and Winlock Mungo to collide. Stewards spoke to Mr D Trewin on behalf of Ms T Womann (via telephone), the trainer of Say Hi after they left the course today without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted following the event.  Stewards issued Ms T Womann with a warning pursuant to GAR 42 (2) and directed Ms T Womann to produce Say Hi at the Geelong Greyhound Racing Club for a veterinary examination on Tuesday 26th October 2021.

Supplementary Report. 

Ms. T Womann presented Say Hi for a veterinary examination at Geelong on Tuesday, 26 October, 2021.  Following the examination, it was found that the greyhound is injured in the right hind gracillies muscle and will be stood down from competing for 60 days effective from 26 October, 2021.

Just Admit It and Coco Lilly were slow to begin.

Fairytale Bliss and Gypsy Andy collided soon after the start, checking Fairytale Bliss. Moraine Hayley, Crown Sebon and Litigator collided approaching the first turn. Stewards spoke to Mr. Allan Meyer, trainer regarding the racing manners of Craftsman in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Meyer, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Slingshot Title underwent a veterinary examination at the trainers request during kennelling and was passed fit to race. 

Slingshot Title – New declared weight of 32.0, last raced at 30.6 kg.
