Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) kennel attendant, Ms P. Toner did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Zumi's Swagger and Phil's My Bro were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Baggy's Gold, Phil's My Bro, Bubba Jo, Callum Ari and McLinden collided approaching the first turn checking Phil's My Bro and Bubba Jo; severely checking Baggy's Gold and Zumi's Swagger, both greyhounds lost ground as a result.
Baggy's Gold underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions and bruising to the right fore radius/ulna. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Zumi's Swagger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury and brusing to the right gracilis. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Roxy Diva - the winner of the event.
Zumi's Swagger – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.
There was no head on vision available in the home straight.
