The Stewards interviewed Mr Damien Howard, the Representative of Those in Favour in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal from this race and noted his comments.

Carrie faltered soon after the start.  Colonel Diesel was checked off Aston Fraiche on the first turn. Four Aces, Colonel Diesel and Deedee’s Charm collided on the home turn severely checking Four Aces and Colonel Diesel. Four Aces and Colonel Diesel collided several times on the home turn.

Carrie underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right back muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Gotham Duke was checked off Dr. Mumma approaching the first turn.  Inuka was checked off Whistling Bullet on the first turn.

Zipping Hamish - Late scratching at 9.00pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a lower back injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Handley, the trainer of Darnum Blaze regarding the greyhound’s performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Darnum Blaze must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
