The start was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to an external interruption in close proximity to the track.
Almapa Sunshine went up with the lids at boxrise.
Major Bourbski and Cornish Pixie collided approaching the first turn checking Cornish Pixie. Ernie Prang, Almapa Sunshine, Cornish Pixie and Ching Ching collided on the first turn checking Ernie Prang and Cornish Pixie severely checking Almapa Sunshine. Saint Jett and Major Bourbski collided enter in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Saint Jett - the winner of the event.
Almapa Sunshine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
