Flame Flight was slow to begin.
Pyrenees Regal checked off Jeffie approaching the first turn checking Millionaire and Flame Flight. Pyrenees Regal and Flame Flight collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Sandbag Lilly and Millionaire collided approaching the home turn checking Millionaire. Millionaire contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result. Flame Flight galloped on the heels of Pyrenees Regal approaching the home turn severely checking Flame Flight and Pyrenees Regal, Pyrenees Regal fell as a result.
Pyrenees Regal was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a broken left foreleg. The greyhound was humanely euthanased.
Flame Flight was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Millionaire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh and a deep wound to the left stifle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to the handler of Millionaire, Mr. A.Caramia for his tardiness in boxing the greyhound.
